Prospective postgraduate students application process

Services being provided to a prospective undergraduate student

PHASE 1

Phase 1 includes: Independent advice to help a student make the right choice of course and university Research into 5 suitable course options that meet student’s needs and expected educational attainment.

Phase 1 Steps: 1. Student completes enquiry form 2. Our consultant arranges a Skype call with the student 3. Als Plus undertake research into 5 suitable courses and universities based on the information identified above 4. Second Skype call to present research to a student and provide an opportunity to progress to Phase 2.

Price: £500.00

PHASE 2

Phase 2 includes: Advice to ensure each postgraduate application is completed and submitted correctly Advice in writing an accompanying personal statement Advice in writing a suitable CV Support in other areas – e.g. obtaining a suitable reference and taking IELTS tests Advice on what course to select when offers come through.

Phase 2 Steps: Student registers with individual universities and completes administrative side of each application form. Als Plus provides advice on completing each form (via Skype calls), obtaining a reference and undertaking additional tests like IELTS etc. Als Plus reviews a student’s CV and provides one round of feedback. Als Plus provides guidance on writing a personal statement. Student writes a draft version. Als Plus reviews it and provides feedback. With guidance, the student finalises their personal statement. Student submits each application form. When offers are through, a Skype call is arranged to provide advice on what should be student’s first and insured choice.

- Offering regular advice to discuss current and upcoming academic challenges
- Providing specific support at key times in the academic year
- The aim of these services are to help students succeed academically and gain confidence in their academic ability.

- Academic mentoring on all aspects of study including, project work, exam preparation and research skills
- Specialist advice on dissertation and project selection

Student completes administrative side of UCAS form including uploading the finalised personal statement.
Skype call(s) are scheduled with the student as necessary to ensure the form is completed correctly.
Student submits UCAS form.

Securing your place at university

Als Plus t supports you to secure your preferred course and university. In the UK, this process involves completing a UCAS application form, which requires you to submit a personal statement and for some courses attend an interview. We guide you through this process, considering your academic ability and interests, working with you to understand your strengths, and increasing your confidence to succeed in your applications.
