Laundry: Washer and Dryer are available in residence hall and are used by purchasing a laundry card. Free Wifi on campus No photocopier available Center Facilities: • Complimentary Wi-Fi for students and group leaders • Multi-purpose spaces for discos, talent shows, and other events • Recreation room Accommodations: Students are accommodated in en-suite apartments with private bathrooms. Apartments consist of two single rooms, common area, and bathroom. Campus Highlights: • Large campus with superb amenities and opportunities for recreation • Central location the Toronto/Niagara Falls areas. • Secure campus Common Rooms/ TV: Common room and fitness center are available for use during scheduled hours. There is also a small movie theater on campus, and wifi throughout the residence area. Safety Box: No safety box is available. Meal Plan: Time: Breakfast 08:00-09:00 Lunch: 12:00-13:00 Dinner: 18:00- 19:00 Canteen which is located on campus and can accommodate dietary and religious restrictions. City Center: Toronto: 35-minute drive Nearest airport: Toronto Pearson International Airport (25-minute drive); Nearest bus stop: 5-minute walk from dormitories, stop is on campus. Nearest train station to Toronto: 12-minute drive from dormitories (also accessible by bus) Nearest supermarket/store: Bookstore and Tim Hortons on Campus, Oakville Place shopping center is a 20-minute walk. Nearest medical center: Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital (13-minute drive from dormitories) Nearest bank: CIBC ATM (6-minute walk from dormitories); TD Bank (16- minute walk from dormitories) Nearest police station: 6-minute drive from dormitories (security office available on campus) Disabled Access: A limited number of accommodations for limited mobility guests are available. Medical Information: If a student is sick and needs medical attention, the ALS Plus office will help in making appointments etc. Please note that it is not usual for a doctor to visit the center and any trips made to the doctor, dentist or hospital will have to be paid for by the students. Important notes for students under 12 years of age

UNDER 12

It is ALS Plus’ policy not to accept individual students under the age of 12.
If travelling in a group with one or more student under 12, Group Leaders must assume full
responsibility for the minor(s) throughout the duration of the programme, including overnight supervision. For safeguarding purposes, ALS Plus suggest a supervision ratio of 1 adult for
10 children, if one or more students present in the group are under 12. In order to arrange
appropriate supervision, students under 12 should be accommodated in rooms adjacent to
their Group Leaders.
Agents are to provide Police Checks for each Group Leader and ensure that Group Leaders
are aware that enhanced supervision is required for activities on and off campus.
Any booking for under 12s must have the prior approval of ALS Plus HEAD OFFICE/COMMERCIAL DEPARTMENT.
Agents are also requested to inform ALS Plus’ Operations Department of the presence of any
under 12 students. In line with our student absence policy, teachers are required to immediately inform the Course Director if any under 12 is missing from class.
Upon arrival, Group Leaders must attend a campus induction with the Campus Manager,
which will include essential information on ALS Plus’ Safeguarding and Child Protection policy.

Description of Excursions_Experience Program

A two-week Experience program includes:
A weekend away (2 days & 1 night) to Montreal in a select-service hotel on half board basis:
Mont Royal Old Montreal Montreal Old Port St. Joseph’s Oratory Jean Talon Market Saint-Catherine Street
Entry to St. Joseph’s Oratory included.
Also:
1 Full Day Excursion to Toronto Distillery District, St. Lawrence Market, Old Toronto, and the CN Tower 1 Full Day Excursion to Canada’s Wonderland 1 Full Day Excursion to Nathan Phillips Square, Toronto Sign, Toronto Eaton Centre, and Yonge-Dundas Square 1 Full Day Excursion to Niagara Falls, including Hornblower Cruise 1 Full Day Excursion to Toronto Islands (including Toronto Islands Ferry) and Harbourfront Centre 1 Full Day Excursion to Queen Street and Kensington Market. Entry to CN Tower, Canada’s Wonderland, Niagara Falls Hornblower Cruise, and Toronto Islands Ferry included.
All excursions are organized by private bus and escorted by ALS Plus staff.
